Hot off the heels of American Airlines and Delta Airlines expanding winter flights to Grand Cayman, United Airlines is increasing air capacity offering more routes for US travelers to our sunny destination.
Beginning mid-December, United will launch new daily nonstop service from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) to Grand Cayman’s Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM).
Additionally, flights from Houston (IAH) will expand from weekly to daily service in November.
United is also boosting flights from Washington, D.C. (IAD), offering four weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
This increased airlift is expected to drive tourism, making it easier for US tourists to enjoy the island’s pristine beaches and vibrant culture. With over 80% of visitors coming from the US, the increased airlift will support rising demand.
The Cayman Islands Tourism Board also seeks to expand airlift from Latin American and European markets, ensuring year-round visitation. Visitors can look forward to more accessible flights as Grand Cayman’s profile ascends as a top-tier international destination.
